The Story

The olfactory alternative to a box of chocolates; satisfaction for the nose

Silk, Lace & Chocolate appeared one spring to get us through the dull days before the flowers return (and never did me need it more than right now). As an alternative to buying boxes of chocolates for Valentines Day, bunnies and eggs for Easter, and even more chocolate for Mothers Day, we added chocolate extract, strawberry, vanilla and bergamot to a smooth amber base so you can wear your chocolate selection instead of eating it.

It's a delight for chocolate lovers with high cholesterol, like Sarah our perfumer. Try smelling Silk, Lace & Chocolate while eating your porridge and your brain will imagine it's getting its chocolate fix.

The House

Sarah McCartney taught herself perfumery and founded 4160 Tuesdays in London in 2011. Her fragrances are story-driven, hand-made in small batches, and openly indifferent to the conventions of classical French perfumery — closer to short fiction than to a finely tuned accord. The name is a count: the Tuesdays in an 80-year life, and a reminder to use them.
