The Drydown’s founder, Shaya Assareh, is obsessed with the senses. She has been a practicing optometrist for 11 years, an amateur portrait photographer for 7 years, and has also been in love with fragrance since childhood. Her interest in perfumes expanded to lesser-known brands and hard-to-find scents that she now wants to share with her community in Carlsbad, California and beyond.

When she’s not helping people find their new signature scent (or checking eyes, or taking photos), she can be found playing with her two young children, going on dates with her husband, and enjoying time spent with friends and family.
