50ML / 1.7FL OZ - EAU DE PARFUM
In our
Smells like
Above the Waves is a tea-infused creation blending three rare tea varieties. Bright, fresh and gently aromatic, this fragrance evokes oceanic movement, sacred rituals, and the quiet strength of unseen guardians.
Above the Waves is our first creation inspired by tea, a luminous blend of three rare varieties, infused with bright bergamot and profound cedar. It invites you into a moment suspended between earth and sky, where scent becomes ritual.
This is not just a perfume, it’s a ceremony in a bottle.
The scent opens with the crisp clarity of green tea leaves, lifted by aromatic incense and cardamom and grounded in the subtle warmth of infused woods. Fresh yet meditative, light yet anchoring, it accompanies you like a gentle tide, always moving, always present.
Above the Waves is a tribute to what protects us, carries us, and connects us to something greater. A fragrance that offers not only freshness, but also a sense of calm, perspective, and elevation, like standing above the sea, with a clear view of your path ahead.
Top notes : Bergamot, Cardamom, Incense
Heart notes: Green Maté, Ceylan, Black Tea
Base notes: Tonka Bean, Cedar, Vetiver

Founded by Etienne de Swardt in 2006, it was only fitting to give the house the name of his birthplace and what it represents. In South Africa Etat Libre d'Orange, the Orange Free State, was an autonomous sovereign republic which declared independence from British rule in 1854. The name was derived from the royal family of the Netherlands, the homeland of the region's pioneers. Unity, beauty, contrast, and freedom are the hallmarks of ELDO. Though the Free State ended in 1902, its attitude lives on in ELDO. Through the works at ELDO, Etienne aims to challenge the simple, sterile, and crowd-pleasing perfumes of the past by creating challenging perfumery. ELDO perfumes are liberated, endearing, flamboyant, excessive, and perfect.
