May Flowers & More

by The Drydown Boutique

Hello, and welcome back to The Drydown Boutique Newsletter! May is just around the corner and we want to highlight some of our favorite May floral frags (though it is so hard to choose just a few! Our floral section is robust!) as well as events we’ve got coming up this month. Enjoy!

May Flowers

Is wearing a floral perfume for spring cliche? Maybe, but we don’t care! We think florals are classic and timeless, and the truth is, they are easy to rock all year round. This month, we will be spotlighting a few of the floral fragrances we’ve been reaching for over and over again at The Drydown Boutique.

Muse by Andrea Maack

notes: mango cream, coconut, pink pepper, sweet pea, gardenia, sandalwood, cedarwood, cashmere

perfumer: Domitille Michalon Bertier

Muse is a truly one of a kind floral fragrance. Pairing the creaminess of gardenia with coconut and pink pepper was a true stroke of genius. Despite belonging to the floral family, Muse subverts expectations by dipping its toes into other genres of fragrance. It is as fruity and creamy as it is a white floral. This is a perfume that doesn’t take itself too seriously and would be so fun and flirty for warmer weather.

Debaser in Bloom by D.S. & Durga

notes: white currant, rosemary flower, cassette tapes, fig, gardenia, cream, musk, coconut husk, raspberry leaf

perfumer: David Seth Moltz

Fans of perfume may already be familiar with D.S. & Durga’s beloved perfume, Debaser, where fig plays the main character. Debaser in Bloom, Debaser’s flanker, uses that same fig and puts it into a supportive role so that the florals and creams of gardenia, rosemary flower, and coconut husk can really shine. D.S. & Durga took the beloved white floral and brought it into the modern era. Expertly blended, fans of figs and florals are destined to fall in love with Debaser in Bloom.

Dandelion Butter by Clue Perfumery

notes: pollen, dandelion greens, yellow dandelion, snapped stem, milky sap, salted butter, dandelion-stained chin

perfumer: Laura Oberwetter

Released in June of 2025, Dandelion Butter, is already a cult favorite among perfume enthusiasts. Dandelion Butter is fuzzy, bright, green, and oh so special. Regardless of whether you’re a floral lover or not, Dandelion Butter is guaranteed to delight. This is a perfume that perfectly captures the awakening and renewal of the spring season. A time when everything is in bloom, and the world feels alive and full of possibilities.

Aurantium Jasmine by J-Scent

notes: neroli, bergamot, mandarin, jasmine sambac, orange flower, muguet, musk, amber, guaiacwood

perfumer: Hironobu Kobayashi

Aurantium Jasmine is exceptional in the way it captures the warmer aspects of jasmine as oposed to the cream and indole one may be accustomed to. The addition of neroli, mandarin, and orange flower, offer an elevation and sophistication that is addictive from the first sniff. For the days when an extra boost of sunshine and confidence is needed, Aurantium Jasmine, is an excellent wear.

Day Three: Edge of Eden Launch Party

Saturday 5/9/26, 4-6pm

Join us as we celebrate the launch of Edge of Eden by Day Three Fragrances—an evocative new release that blurs the line between purity and provocation.

Opening with crisp red apple, cool metallic air, and an aldehydic brightness, the fragrance unfolds into luminous spring florals before settling into a clean, skin-like warmth with a modern, mineral edge. Fresh yet unconventional, Edge of Eden captures the tension between innocence and temptation.

We are honored to welcome owner Vanessa and cofounder and perfumer Michael Paul, the creative force behind the brand’s distinctive olfactive style. Day Three is an independent niche house built around his compositions, crafted and bottled with a strong focus on artistry and detail.

Join us May 9th from 4–6pm to experience the fragrance firsthand, meet the perfumer behind the brand, and explore our Day Three collection. Sparkling wine will be served as you discover this striking new release.
