The Story

A luminous white floral reveals the indolic nature of orange blossom. Gentle petals of jasmine are kissed by an ozonic dew. From the heart, the warmth of a comforting vanilla radiates like embers of a golden flame. Verdades represents the splendor of the present. It reminds us to keep ablaze the glow of our inner radiance.

Verdades is inspired by the celebrated Rio 2016 Olympic and World Equestrian Games (WEG) bronze and silver medalist horse. The fragrance draws from my cherished memories observing the Team USA horse and rider duo during her winter sabbatical in Wellington, FL. The fragrance evokes a synesthetic reaction, bringing to life the memories of the bold music of his freestyle and the vibrant orange and golden Florida sunsets that appeared as Laura did her nightly walks and grazes with him on the show grounds. I watched in awe of the duo and nature while atop Canaan, a horse I was campaigning at the time and, coincidentally, another white floral in our collection. Witnessing their profound bond was truly remarkable, especially as it's rare for riders at this competitive level to be as involved as Laura was with Verdades.

This fragrance is inspired by collective moments I have observed with horses and riders, which I admire and are then turned into olfactive stories for all to enjoy.

The House

The name Maison d'Etto fuses ethics and motto — a quiet echo of the beliefs we carry with us, and a nod to the idea of each to their own. Individuality and self-expression sit at the center of the house, where every fragrance is meant to feel like a private credo worn close to the skin.
