The Story

The first breath of desert air before the storm: cool juniper, green tea, bergamot, and the scent of petrichor rising off dry earth.

Day Three Fragrances created Desert Rain with singer-songwriter Colton Dixon, inspired by his hit single “Build a Boat.” Trial after trial, we layered cactus blossom, papyrus, and nutmeg over a sage-washed petrichor accord until that first-raindrop moment felt real enough to touch. Underneath, a rare Mysore sandalwood and soft leather give this unisex eau de parfum its depth, while frankincense and dry woods carry it into a warm, meditative dry down. It is a niche fragrance built around one fleeting feeling: the moment when desert silence finally gives way to rain.

Fresh and green at the top, quietly smoky and woody at the base, Desert Rain is for anyone who has stood still and breathed in that first rain. This is Desert Rain.

The House

Day Three was founded in 2022 by Michael and Vanessa Paul, and within months of releasing their first perfume — La Tacita de Café — won the Art and Olfaction Golden Pear Award. The house treats perfume as a vessel for precious moments and memory. It is a true family operation: their niece and sister work closely with the team, and Michael, in another life, was a stage magician.
