The Story

Born during a volcanic eruption near Andrea Maack’s Icelandic studio, Magma is raw power bottled. It opens with fiery black pepper and smoky incense — like heated volcanic stone radiating beneath layers of earth. At its heart, velvety rose petals melt into luxurious saffron and hypnotic myrrh, creating a narcotic warmth that fans describe as the scent of falling in love. The base of creamy tonka, rich patchouli, and soft suede lingers for hours — dark, sensual, and impossible to forget.

The House

Andrea Maack is an Icelandic visual artist whose perfume house began as a gallery experiment in 2012 — a single fragrance called Smart (Smell Art) made for a Reykjavik exhibition. The audience response turned the project into a full body of scented installations, then into a brand. The bottles are modeled on the obsidian volcanic rock of the Icelandic highlands; the contents stay close to the work that started it all — perfume as a piece of art you can wear.
